On July 19, 2011 Miss Zhang Limei and I took 19 students to visit Hanhe Middle School in Singapore. The one-week visit made good impressions on us. I'd like to share the following with you.

A beautiful natural environment

Singapore is an island nation under climatic condition located in the tropical rain forest. The vegetation is very lush and wherever you are surrounded by seductive green, bananas coconuts, banyans, palmettos and palms. All the buildings were surrounded by trees and flowers. It is really worthy of the name of the Garden State.

Convective rain of rain forest left me a deep impression. When we arrived at a Science and Technology Museum, it was sunny. We were about to prepare to take photos of this beautiful moment when a heavy rain poured down. No thunder, only rain splashed, but what is more incredible is that the sky is still bright and sunny. Accompanied by heavy rain , it was still sunny which is the unique landscape here. So  with Singapore's very clean streets, very fresh air, she is a natural oxygen bar.

    Singapore is an island country located south of the Malay Peninsula. There is very beautiful tropical beach scenery. We went to Sentosa Island, where there are the deep blue seas, soft sands, lush coconut palms. I saw the busy Malacca Strait. Sentosa is like a beautiful pearl set in emerald blue sea.

Second, the human environment is comfortable

    I enjoy this beautiful natural environment of the Garden City and I appreciate her comfortable human environment. If the reason of the natural environment in Singapore is because of its unique geographical location, its construction of the human environment is what we should learn from.

   This is a country with a population of 4.6 million, multi-ethnic and multi-language multi-cultural interaction. Different customs, clothes, languages ​​of Singapore nationals could be seen or heard on the streets. But they can be comfortable living in this family. We were curious to explore the secrets,and found several aspects of life in the answer.

    The first is her traffic, On the morning we arrived in Singapore , we took a taxi. The driver in his sixties talked to us in English , then in Chinese. He is fluent in Chinese and thus I saw the efforts of this country in a unified national language are successful. Children in our country began to learn English at their early age, but few can use it freely. Therefore, we should attach importance to education not only in the the form, but in practice. This is a country where you should drive on the left. The vehicles are running  very fast, but there is not a single traffic policeman. The roads are full of cars with famous brand made in the United States, Japan and Germany. Motorcycles can be seen occasionally.

The second aspect is religion. We went to the Singapore Buddhist Lodge, which is a place of cleansing of my soul . Here you can be free to eat, as long as you like. You can spend nothing to live for a year round here. I was curious to see how many people want to eat there. The results I saw shocked me. Few people were eating here. What we saw is a large donation in the hall on the second floor. People were waiting for donations in a long line. Good magnetic strength is very strong, so we spontaneously joined the team. Love here has been sublimated. The next day we went to China Town, where there is a lot of temples. We can see religion in this country is powerful.

The third aspect is the civic awareness. On the bus no one spoke loudly, no one was eating and drinking.  There were no debris left behind the people after watching the performance in the zoo. The toilet are very clean. Singapore is a national non-smoking country.

Fourth, the government's ability and attitude,

Singapore is well-known for her strict laws. It is said that Singapore's social order is out of the penalty. The environment in Singapore is also out of the penalty. But what I saw was the Singapore government's attitude towards people-oriented governance. We went to visit Singapore's Ministry of Construction, whose first floor and the second floor were open to the public free of charge, where the exhibition of the country's architectural history and future construction plans. Everything is ordered according to the planning and design. Government agencies in this country almost do not work in high buildings. Very typically the Congress is just in a three-story building. Next Congress is commercial skyscrapers. Government built low-rent apartments on the seashore and they are large-scale architectural design with clever art which won the international architectural awards. It's hard to think of this is low-rent housing.

Third, the harmony between man and nature

     My impression was that the beautiful natural environment and human environment are both comfortable but I was shocked that Singaporeans' harmony with nature. In the park children can play with a small crow and when the visitors come to their side they do not fly away as if we were their kind. Cranes swaggered in the road after supper. We rode with it slowly. Cute little squirrel were jumping on the big banyan tree in Hanhe middle school, and they like to play games with the students.What a kind of harmony it is! How many years did it take to build trust between them!

   Please forgive me that I did not use too many words to describe Singapore's bustling because I think they were born from these details. If we learn from these details, I think our country will  become a paradise with beautiful natural environment, cultural environment, comfort, harmony between man and nature in the near future.
