The library, reading room, audio-visual classroom have ordered related books, newspapers, magazines or CDs for the teachers and students borrow to study. In 2009, the invention of touch pressing water saving faucet by Tian Yongzhi, a student of Shijiazhuang No. 42 Secondary School, got the Chinese National Invention patent and he received the Best Project Award in the national activity "keep a bucket of water, protect mother river". He got the Sixth Youth Science and Technology Innovation Award. And the school received the Green Fund Award. Shijiazhuang No. 42 Secondary School won the first place in the Aerobics and Cheerleading Team Competition in Xinhua District, Shijiazhuang. The Aerobics and Cheerleading Competition of the middle school students in Xinhua District was held in Shijiazhuang No. 18 Middle School on November 17, 2011. Shijiazhuang No. 42 Middle School won the first place in the competition. Among them, the Cheerleading from our school got two first prizes in the single tournament, and the aerobics got the first and second prizes in the single tournaments. Wu Nan, the team leader of the Cheerleading, was awarded the Best Member. The leaders of our school praised all the members of the aerobics and cheerleading! They got the final success through almost two months of hard training, and even sacrificed their spare time and some self study classes. The strict disciplines and hard training contribute to their success! They will take part in the Aerobics and Cheerleading Competition of Shijiazhuang on behalf of the students in Xinhua District on December 1, 2011!
The campus is designed with careful thought. It combines the greening and beauty of the campus through the scientific selection to keep four seasons green and three seasons’ flowers. The school has pulled down the original coal boiler and then built the solar energy boiler room and rebuilt the playground, installed the street lights and completed the project to brighten the campus.
