My experience of living in China is difficult to express in mere words. In general, the experience has been -in a word- extraordinary. I have found the country and its people most hospitable, helpful and kind. There are many wonderful things about my experience, among these are the wonderful food, huge modern progressive cities with many amenities- like excellent transportation systems i.e trains, buses, airlines, airports, hotels, motorways, commercial centers, mall, markets, restaurants and the like. The most pleasant have been the people in general, especially those people that  I have met and worked with. Without exception everyone that I have met at work has been helpful, generous, kind and understanding. The people at #42 Middle School are wonderful from the guards at the doors to the administration, teaching staff,  librarians, custodians and students.  In my opinion the Chinese people are more courteous and caring.

China is also different from the USA. Certain things are difficult for a newly-arrived foreigner - such as shopping for foods, and the like in the markets; getting around the city, finding places, getting used to the food, some of the furniture and many other simple things like that are different. This experience has been interesting and some of it is even "exotic" for me. There is always a sense of discovery of new things and experiences that is refreshing and interesting.  So far I have been to Beijing, Shijiazhuang, Luoyang, Hong Kong, Macao and have liked them all. There is SO much to see in China that I'm afraid my time here is so short.
