2014 ”Camp China” was opened in our school

On the morning of July 7th, 2014, “Camp China" was opened in Shijiazhuang No. 42 Middle School. Principal, Li Yaqing, the vice principals, Yang Lin, Zhang Xiuying, the teachers, Li Hui, Gao Panxiang, and five foreign teachers from the United States participated the opening ceremony as well as some middle school students. Opening ceremony was presided over by Ms. Li Xinyu.
The first issue of our conference is vice president Zhang delivered the opening speech. Ms. Zhang recalled the first opening ceremony of "Camp China" in 1991, just like yesterday. The eleven foreign teachers who were led by Ms. Maraud give us a lively teaching method by using North America way, and broaden the teachers’ and students’ horizons. Since the 1999-2005, the last seven sessions Camp China was successfully held by No. 42 middle school. In 2014, we ushered in the long-awaited "Camp China". Ms. Zhang said: "Thank you very much for both the north American foreign teachers and Chinese teachers in our school, and I wish 2014 ‘Chinese camp’ has come to a successful conclusion!”
Then, American teachers’ team leader, Ms. Elizabeth Bergstrom gave us a speech, she represented all the foreign teacher thanked Shijiazhuang No.42 Middle School, thanked to the principals, teachers, and hoped the students have a good and meaningful 21 days. Subsequently, Ms. Bergstrom introduced the four other foreign teachers, in order to thank, five foreign teachers performed a North American popular dance, called Flies water, lively and funny dance won the applause of teachers and students present.
Finally, Yang Xiaolei, a student from class 18, grade 2, gave us a speech on behalf of the campers, Yang said that English is the key to open the door to the world, all the students are looking forward to the arrival of the "Camp China", looking forward to different English class, looking forward to the happy time with the foreign teachers to learn English.
As the only one school in Hebei province undertakes the project, Shijiazhuang No.42 Middle School, since 1999 has been held for seven times in a row, a total of nearly 500 students and 48 foreign teachers as well as more than 50 English teachers in our school to participate in the "Camp China" project, won a great success. Both American English Language Institute and China Education Association for International Exchange received the affirmation and has accumulated rich experience of undertaking this project. The camp has become a beautiful scenery line in No. 42 middle school during the summer.
