There are such a group of children, who live in the mountains of poverty while parents work all the year round, leaving the children with elderly grandparents at home. They have a common name, "children left behind". They yearn for books to enrich their mind, and they look forward to seeing the outside world.

Recently, with the help of Xinhua District government, Renjiazhuang, Zhaitou Town, Lingshou County, Shijiazhuang No. 42 Secondary School and Renjiazhuang Primary School established a twinning relationship.

On the morning of June 5th, Mr. Gao Feng, Mr. Song Jianbin, and Mr. Lu Peng from Xinhua District Government, and Mr. Xiao Hairan, Miss Yang Yu and Mr. Li Ze from the Communist Youth League of No. 42 Secondary School, the British foreign teacher Mr. Gabriel Agranoff and the Youth volunteer Service Team from Shijiazhuang No. 42 Secondary School went to Renjiazhuang Primary School to carry out the “hand in hand with children left behind, building China dream together” activity. The volunteers played with the children, with laughters echoing around the campus.

Volunteer members also taught children to sing opera. Mr. Li Ze performed erhu “horse race”. Foreign teacher Mr. Gabriel used games to make children learn pure English.

In a short period of time, the volunteers and the students established a profound friendship. Before leaving, the volunteers gave gifts to children.

Mr. Xiao Hairan, Youth League Secretary of Shijiazhuang No. 42 Secondary School said that the practical action represented the core value, which is a “helping others, and making oneself happy” concept of positive energy.
