Significant Event Replay/ With the arrival of “Globalization 3.0 Era”, what challenges is the internationalization of Chinese education is going to meet?

The supreme purpose of education in China, which is national prosperity and rejuvenation, is a belief that has been grasped by generations after generations. It is a kind of spirit that remains in our mind across time and space. It is also a shared feeling for Chinese people from inheritance.

Sponsored by Beijing Foreign Studies University, “Internationalized Talents Cultivation Peak BBS and BFSU Student Base School Union Work Conference 2017” was held from November 20 ~ 22 in Beijing.

The meeting proceeded with the theme of "Internationalized Talents Cultivation and Area Construction", well-known scholars in the field of education internationalization from home and abroad, many influential international education experts and national key primary and middle schools principals gathered to explore developing much-needed, complex type of BSFLP, high-end international talents.

In the curriculum reform and teaching innovation of internationalized talents cultivation in the BBS, vice President Zhang from HBIS responded to the national education from the perspective of multidimensional and all-round developmental strategy. She showed the audience the training target of HBIS, shared their unique way with Chinese characteristics in the international talent training, all the way to their answers to the questions, such as what kind of opportunities and challenges it is going to bring to China's education; what kind of person our education should cultivate; and questions concerning the key words "Neighborhood", “Initiative”, and “Globalization 3.0 Era".

She said that to realize the education internationalization, we should widen the vision, construct a team of highly-qualified teachers, and make use of the influence of Confucius classroom to expand Chinese culture overseas, and pluralize in methods of raising talented students. Besides, the communication among international cultures will be really helpful for us to continue to build a comprehensive, multidisciplinary, and high-level international education platform, to set up a new milestone for the fostering of a Chinese soul with a world vision in international talents’ minds.

Given the quickening pace of China's participation in the global change, we should pay more attention to the development of future generations. Principal Zhang expressed the core of HBIS value, which is enlightening nature and releasing the full potential of the students.

In the construction of internationalization course system, the integration of a foundation of Chinese culture and an international vision should be considered as the starting point to further development of domestic and the overseas high quality ecosystem of international education. Through enriching students ‘spiritual life, enhancing their consciousness of responsibility and broadening their exploration of space and time, the realization of the connotative development of internationalization of education will become possible.
